The first day of school finally came on Monday. We were not excited at all. We loved summer with no homework, no projects, no more "early to bed so you can get up in the morning", no lunches to make, no getting up early.....we loved summer.
Kailen - 6th grade
Parker (9th grade) & Kam (12th grade)All in all, it was a good day. Kailen is adjusting to a new/old school (she attended this school when we moved to Arizona 5 1/2 years ago and due to our 4th boundary change, she's back). Parker said, "High school is better than elementary school". Which might not seem like much, but speaks volumes. Kam has an early case of senioritis and is just ready to be done. She's definitely not taken the easy route through high school and is seriously ready to move on to the next stage of her young life. And she's tired of fellow students saying, "You're a senior? You're too little to be a senior!" The things people say.....
So we're now officially back to homework, projects, "early to bed so you can get up VERY early in the morning", lunches and getting up early. Thankfully, Labor Day is only 3 weeks away. Woo hoo! :0)
